Barcelona defeated Como, a Serie A team, in their regular preseason home match, the Gamper Trophy, by a score of 5-0.
This victory allowed Barcelona to recapture the championship that they had previously abandoned. Lamine Yamal and Fermin López each scored twice to complete the rout, while Raphinha added an exceptionally well-executed goal.
Match Recap – Relentless Attacking Power
In the 21st minute, Como conceded the first goal by giving the ball away in the middle of their half of the field. To make it 1-0, Fermín took advantage of the opportunity that presented itself at the edge of the box and fired a precise strike into the top corner.
As the 35th minute approached, Yamal’s attempt to enter the right side of the box was obstructed. However, Frenkie de Jong swiftly provided the ball to Fermín, who then proceeded to strike once more from a distance, thereby doubling the lead.
After only two minutes, Marcus Rashford made a move down the right wing and found Raphinha, who calmly slid the ball into the back of the net to make the score 3-0.
A further breakdown in Como’s defense occurred in the 42nd minute, which made it possible for Raphinha to intercept the ball and set up Yamal for a straightforward tap-in. With a comfortable 4-0 advantage, Barcelona entered the halftime break in the lead.
After driving forward on the left side of the field early in the second half, Alejandro Balde then passed the ball to Ferran Torres, who was standing near the top of the box.
Ferran’s move to the right side of the field secured a 5-0 victory and Yamal’s second goal of the evening. The ball came into contact with Yamal first, who curled it into the far corner.
New Signing Joan García Impresses on Debut
The debut of Joan García, the new goalkeeper, was one of the most noteworthy incidents that transpired during the evening. The teenage goalkeeper made his first start for Barcelona since joining the club this summer.
