Atlético Held at Home by Newly-Promoted Elche

In another match, Atletico Madrid played a 1-1 draw at home against Elche, who were also promoted to the top flight.

Although Atletico Madrid spent a whopping 175 million euros on new players this summer, they have only managed one draw and one loss in the opening two league games, falling short of expectations.

Only eight minutes into the game, Sorloth broke the deadlock for Atletico. However, the good times did not last long.

Seven minutes later, Rafa Mir equalised for Elche. After that, both sides had their own attacks and defences, but they failed to change the score. The game ended in a draw.

The comeback not only gave Barcelona a victory on the road but also showed the team’s persistence and determination. For Levante and Elche, although they did not win the game, their performance also showed the competitiveness of the promoted teams.
