Even without their departing superstar Kylian Mbappé, Paris Saint-Germain continue to dominate. On Saturday night, they swept aside Reims with a commanding 3-0 victory in the French Cup final, lifting the trophy for a record-extending 16th time. The win also marks their third domestic title of the season, and with just one match left, the Champions League final, they’re now just 90 minutes away from completing a historic quadruple.
One-Sided Final at Stade de France

The final at the iconic Stade de France was never in doubt. PSG came out firing and overwhelmed Reims from the opening whistle. By halftime, the game was effectively over. In the 17th minute, 19-year-old midfield sensation Warren Zaïre-Emery (often called Doué) split the defence with a brilliant through ball, allowing Bradley Barcola to slot home the opener.

Just two minutes later, Doué was at it again, another assist, another goal for Barcola, who calmly tapped in to double the lead.

Before the break, Barcola turned provider, setting up Achraf Hakimi at the far post for the third. It was a clinical and ruthless half of football from PSG, and Reims had no answer.
Enrique Makes History at PSG

This victory adds another feather to head coach Luis Enrique’s cap. In his second season with PSG, Enrique won both Ligue 1 and the French Cup back-to-back, becoming the first manager in French football history to do so.
Even more impressive: Enrique has now won all 10 of the single-match finals he’s managed in his club career. His perfect record in decisive games reflects tactical prowess and an ability to prepare and motivate his teams when it matters most.
Having already won the French Super Cup, Ligue 1, and now the French Cup, PSG focuses on the Champions League final on May 31st at Wembley Stadium in London, where they’ll face Serie A giants Inter Milan. Victory there would secure PSG’s first-ever quadruple, a landmark achievement for the club.

Enrique said after the final, “This was the perfect way to prepare for the Champions League final. That match is hugely important for us. We want to make history, not just for ourselves but for the club and the fans.”
He added, “These moments are special for everyone involved. We’ll go into the final in the best possible condition.”
A New Era Without Mbappé? The Future Looks Bright

With Mbappé set to depart this summer, many expected PSG to lose its edge. But if this performance is any indication, a new generation is ready to take the reins. Doué and Barcola are stepping on the biggest stages, showing maturity beyond their years.
Barcola finished the final with two goals and an assist, while Doué created two goals with pinpoint passes. Their chemistry, confidence, and composure could be the foundation of PSG’s next era.
The French Cup win is PSG’s third trophy of the season. But the one they truly crave, the Champions League, is now within reach. Defeating Inter Milan would give them the ultimate European glory and cap off a perfect season with a historic quadruple.
For Paris Saint-Germain, history is just one match away.
