Liverpool have officially announced the departure of 19-year-old winger Ben Doak, who has joined Bournemouth in a permanent deal. The transfer marks the Reds’ 10th outgoing deal of the summer window, with eight of those being permanent exits.
Over €219m Raised, Third-Highest in the Premier League

According to transfer market data, Doak’s switch to Bournemouth has brought in €23.2 million for Liverpool. That figure pushes the club’s total transfer income this summer to €219 million, ranking them third in the Premier League behind Chelsea and Bournemouth.
The mass exodus reflects a clear squad reshaping strategy, with Liverpool offloading fringe players and younger prospects while simultaneously reinvesting heavily in top-tier reinforcements.
Spending Big but Staying Balanced
Despite their aggressive recruitment drive, which saw them bring in marquee names such as Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike, costing a combined €339 million, Liverpool’s net spend has been kept relatively controlled. Thanks to the significant outgoings, the club’s net transfer expenditure sits at €120 million, easing concerns about Financial Fair Play (FFP) restrictions.
In other words, while Liverpool has splashed out to strengthen, they’ve also sold smartly, ensuring the books remain balanced.

With the transfer window still open, Liverpool is in a strong position to continue adding to their squad. Sources suggest that a new attacking option could be next on their list, as the club looks to add depth and firepower up front.
For now, though, the focus will be on integrating their new arrivals while maintaining momentum in the Premier League campaign. And with the financial headroom still available, Liverpool fans may not have seen the last big move of the summer.
