PSG Strike First

In the 26th minute, the visitors broke the deadlock. Vitinha delivered a long pass from deep, and Warren Zaïre-Emery finished from a tight angle on the right side of the box to give PSG a 1–0 lead.

Just four minutes later, Lyon’s Moreira equalised to make it 1–1. In the 33rd minute, Vitinha intercepted the ball high up the pitch and set up Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who calmly slotted the ball into the far corner to restore PSG’s advantage at 2–1 before halftime.

Lyon levelled again in the 50th minute when Morton sent the ball forward to Niles, who noticed the goalkeeper’s advanced position and lobbed a brilliant shot from outside the box, bringing the score to 2–2.

Both teams fought fiercely afterwards, but PSG couldn’t find the breakthrough until stoppage time.
