Manchester United officially announced that forwards Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko have withdrawn from their respective national team squads due to injuries. Both players will remain in Manchester to undergo rehabilitation.

Mbeumo to Miss Matches Against China and Australia

During last Friday’s 2–2 draw between Manchester United and Bournemouth, Mbeumo was substituted in the 71st minute. Despite playing through multiple matches, his right leg injury has not fully recovered.

For the sake of his long-term career, Mbeumo has decided to withdraw from the Cameroon national team. As a result, he will miss the upcoming international fixtures against China and Australia.

Sesko Begins Recovery Phase

Similarly, Sesko is dealing with ongoing minor injuries. The Slovenian striker has recently been limited to substitute appearances in matches against Aston Villa and Bournemouth.

To fully recover, Sesko has also withdrawn from the Slovenia national team and will focus on rehabilitation during the international break. He will miss matches against Hungary and Montenegro.

Both Players Expected to Return After International Break

According to Manchester United’s schedule, both Mbeumo and Sesko will have more than three weeks to recover. BBC journalist Simon Stone reported that head coach Michael Carrick expects both players to be available for the Premier League clash against Leeds United on April 13.

Mazraoui Recovers and Joins Morocco Squad

Meanwhile, right-back Noussair Mazraoui, who missed the Bournemouth match due to illness, has fully recovered. He will join the Morocco national team for the upcoming friendlies against Ecuador and Paraguay.

Morocco has recently been awarded the Africa Cup of Nations title following Senegal’s withdrawal, making these matches particularly noteworthy.

Manchester United Players’ International Break Plans

Most Manchester United players will represent their national teams or youth squads during the international break. Those not called up will continue training at Carrington and will be given time off over the weekend.

However, the club has advised players not to travel to Dubai for holidays. Although Dubai has been a popular destination for Premier League players, recent tensions in the Middle East have prompted Manchester United to recommend alternative travel locations.

Players not selected for international duty include Tom Heaton, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, Mason Mount, and Joshua Zirkzee, all of whom will remain in Manchester during the break.

Manchester United’s approach to injury management and player scheduling highlights the club’s strong commitment to player welfare while ensuring optimal preparation for the upcoming fixtures.
