De Bruyne Scores and Assists, Shines Throughout

Despite enjoying home advantage, Belgium initially struggled to find a breakthrough against Kazakhstan’s compact defensive setup.

That deadlock was finally broken in the 41st minute when veteran midfielder Kevin De Bruyne unleashed a brilliant long-range strike from outside the box, giving the hosts a 1-0 lead.

Just before halftime, De Bruyne delivered another moment of quality, providing a precise assist that allowed Doku to calmly finish from the left side of the penalty area, sending Belgium into the break with a 2-0 advantage.

Doku’s Two Assists and a Goal Showcase His Attacking Spark

In the second half, Belgium continued to dominate both in possession and offensive pressure. In the 51st minute, Doku used his pace and skill to penetrate the defence and delivered a pinpoint pass, setting up Raskin to slot the ball into the net and extend the lead to 3-0.

Only nine minutes later, Doku once again showcased his individual brilliance. Charging down the left flank, he fearlessly beat his marker and scored from an acute angle, stretching Belgium’s advantage to 4-0.

De Bruyne Climbs to Second on Belgium’s All-Time Scoring List

As the game entered the 83rd minute, De Bruyne once again demonstrated his significance as a clutch player by capitalising on a situation within the penalty area to score Belgium’s fifth goal.

As a result of that hit, his total number of goals scored for Belgium on the international stage reached 34, allowing him to overcome Eden Hazard and take the position of second place on the all-time scoring list for Belgium.

Thomas Meunier, who had been substituted in, took advantage of a return pass from Saelemaekers and scored a goal in the 87th minute, thus ensuring that Belgium would win by a score of 6-0.
