Diaz Makes Immediate Impact as Bayern Dictate the Tempo

The game took place at Bayern’s home stadium. The first half was pretty quiet, with both teams trading possession.

In the 53rd minute, Diaz, who had just come on as a substitute, was fouled by Clinton during an aerial duel in the box. That moment was the turning point. The referee signalled for a penalty, which Olise calmly scored to put Bayern ahead.

Lyon Gets One Back, But Bayern Stays Strong

In the 83rd minute, Lyon was able to respond when Rodriguez took advantage of a turnover in midfield, drove into the box, and scored with a well-placed shot. But Bayern stayed calm and kept control and possession to win the match 2-1. This was a positive start to their preseason campaign.

Lyon’s Financial Troubles Almost Cost Them Their Ligue 1 Spot

It’s important to remember that Lyon, which won seven straight Ligue 1 titles, was recently punished for not paying their bills and was supposed to be demoted to Ligue 2 for the first time in 35 years. But the club successfully appealed the decision and kept its Ligue 1 status for the next season.

This friendly match was not only a chance to practice tactics, but it also showed how Bayern has changed with the addition of new players. Diaz’s first game showed how good he could be, and Olise’s great form suggested that the team would have a potent offense this season.

As the game time approaches, Bayern seem to be getting better at their rhythm, chemistry, and overall competitiveness, which is good news for their fans.
