According to journalist Jeremy Cross, Inter Miami is interested in signing Kevin De Bruyne if he fails to reach a contract renewal agreement with Manchester City.
De Bruyne is among the most powerful playmakers in international football even though he turned 33 later this year. Having joined Manchester City in 2015, he has established himself as a Premier League legend by winning several league titles and significantly supporting City’s historic triple-winning effort in 2023. But injuries have dogged him recently, casting doubt on his long-term Etihad future.
Kevin De Bruyne has yet to agree on a contract extension with Manchester City
Inter Miami has reportedly identified De Bruyne as their top transfer target. Should the Belgian midfielder not finalize a new deal with City by January, the MLS club is prepared to open transfer negotiations at the start of the year.
Although Manchester City is not likely to split with De Bruyne mid-season, a summer relocation is still rather likely. According to reports, Saudi Pro League teams also want his services, hence Miami might have fierce competition for his signature.
De Bruyne is currently totally dedicated to Manchester City’s Premier League and Champions League campaigns, but as his contract draws to a conclusion, rumors about his future action are only going to get more intense. The financial package of Inter Miami and the ambition of the Belgian playmaker for a fresh challenge will determine whether the team can attract another European star to MLS.
