Arsenal Football Club has officially announced the signing of Spanish international goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea, securing the 30-year-old on a three-year contract. The North London club activated Kepa’s release clause, paying a reported £5 million (approximately RM29 million) to complete the deal. Kepa will wear the number 13 shirt for Arsenal in the 2025/26 season.
Kepa arrives at the Emirates Stadium with considerable experience at the top level of European football. He originally joined Chelsea in 2018 from Athletic Bilbao for a then world record transfer fee for a goalkeeper, valued at £71.6 million. The following season (2024/25), he moved to Bournemouth in the Premier League, where he made 35 appearances and kept 9 clean sheets, earning recognition for his consistency and leadership.
