It is reported that Brighton have agreed to sign Paraguayan international Diego Gómez from Major League Soccer (MLS) club Inter Miami.
The 21-year-old midfielder will officially join the Seagulls when the transfer window opens on January 1, 2025.
Brighton is understood to have agreed to pay around £11 million for Gómez.
Gómez started his career at Libertad
Gómez was born in San Juan Bautista, Paraguay, and began his professional career at Libertad, where he made 52 appearances and scored 6 goals.
He helped Libertad win the Paraguayan Primera División titles in 2022 and 2023 and gained valuable experience in the Copa Libertadores before joining Inter Miami in July 2023.
In his first season at Inter Miami, Gómez scored 1 goal in 5 appearances and later became a key player for the team.

In 28 appearances, he contributed 6 goals and 7 assists, helping the team qualify for the MLS playoffs and securing a spot in next summer’s FIFA Club World Cup.
