From vibrant beach gatherings to thunderous chants during the game, the blue-and-gold faithful turned the event into a full-blown celebration of football culture.
A Sea of Blue and Gold Takes Over Miami
The festivities began well before kickoff. On Sunday, thousands of Boca fans took to Miami’s beaches for a massive “flag display” event. The shoreline quickly transformed into a dazzling sea of blue and gold, with music, chants, and giant banners setting the tone for what was to come.
But the real spectacle unfolded on match day. Hours before the game, long lines of Boca fans formed outside Hard Rock Stadium. Organisers had anticipated a massive turnout, likening the expected atmosphere to that of Argentina’s World Cup matches in Qatar—and they weren’t wrong.
An astonishing 55,000 fans packed the stadium, with Boca Juniors supporters making up more than 80% of the crowd, around 45,000 strong. Their presence was overwhelming, creating a home-field environment that energised the team.

From the first whistle to the final seconds, the Boca fans never let up. The stadium echoed with nonstop chanting, most notably the iconic “¡Dale Boca, dale Boooooo!” which roared from the stands like a heartbeat throughout the match.
The support visibly moved players. Several described the atmosphere as “incredible” and said it felt as if they were back at La Bombonera, Boca’s legendary home ground. Midfielder Ezequiel Fernández summed it up best: “They made us feel like we were playing in Buenos Aires. It was unforgettable.”
